Camping in Spruce Woods

On Monday I headed for Macgregor where I picked up my bestest friend since I was 1 year old and she was born, Zoe! We packed up....we were only gone for 2 nights but by the looks of Subee we could have be gone for weeks.
It was gorgeous there....have I mentioned how much I love Manitoba? It is so beautiful in the south west...
It was sweltering on Monday and after we'd set up the tent we headed straight for the beach. We spent most of the afternoon/evening there.
On Tuesday we went for a drive and saw even more MB beauty...here we are, sticky and bug bitten.
In the afternoon we went for a covered wagon ride in the dunes. Not only because it was sweltering out but because we LOVE wagon rides!
We almost didn't get on the ride, 15 seniors had booked the wagon for the afternoon, but luckily we squeezed on and enjoyed the banter of small town 80 year old's out for the afternoon!
We were able to see the sand dunes and the Devil's Punch Bowl.

The Devil's Punch Bowl was so striking, especially with the looming storm clouds.
After a total of about 15 minutes of being back at the campsite it proceeded to downpour. Buckets or rain for 4 hours! Our tarp was leaky but we managed to keep moral up with a hot meal and a warm shower.
This morning we packed up and did one of the shorter hikes and saw yet another amazing view!
Despite the heat and the rain, we had a great time!

  2. Sadly no, while Subee has many great features she doesn't have room for camping gear and bikes!
