Lists..they work

Zoe and I started the past weekend with a list on the white board of things we wanted to get done this weekend.
Some items we'd just been putting off, some were quick and easy and some (guess which one) were just for fun! But here we are on Sunday night and it's all done!!
We figured out bills...we've been putting that off for a while!
We learned K'naan's song "Hurt Me Tomorrow", this was this silly one that we decided to because we were tired of mumbling through the song in the car. And now after practicing a few times, we at least know what he is singing. We're nerds.
We did a HUGE organize/clean of the apartment. Seriously awesome. It took forever but was so worth it.
We sent a thank you card to people we had a big thank you to give.
And we booked tickets to a concert in an effort to step away from evenings of hibernation.
Below the weekend to-do list is a secondary list for my projects alone. It has really motivated me to get my butt in gear and finish things so I can start new ones!
Hopefully by the end of the week I will be halfway done the list!! The T-shirt quilt is over halfway done.
You already saw the jean/flannel quilt. But here are the other completed projects on the list...
The cross-stitched birth announcement made for a fellow blog follower!
And a baby quilt for the newest addition on my Mom's side of the family. I unfortunately forgot to take a picture of it unfolded, but it has the cutest giraffe fabric on it!
Any one else a fan of list making? I have to be honest, I've never had so much success with it as I've had these past few weeks, and I'm loving it!

  1. I sometimes make lists when I feel overwhelmed. I really should do it more often and maybe won't feel overwhelmed but not likely to happen! LOL! Love the baby announcement. Again thank you so so so much!! Have a great day! Andrea

  3. Guess what I was doing at 4 a.m. when I couldn't sleep? I am a list lover, too, and I agree that they help me when I feel overwhelmed.
    Love you!
